COSLYS IS AN ORGANIC CERTIFIED BRAND

Coslys products are all Cosmebio accredited.

Three main principles :
A minimum of 95% of natural ingredients
• A minimum of 95% of organic ingredients out of the vegetable ingredients
• A minimum of 10% of organic ingredients out of the finished product *
* Water -a major ingredient in cosmetics- cannot be organic certified!

What does the Cosmebio accreditation mean ?
• Products are made out of vegetable or mineral renewable raw materials
• No animal ingredients, petrochemical ingredients nor G.M. ingredients
• Simple manufacturing processes imply no pollution & non toxic substances (No ethoxilation or quaternisation)
• A minimum required quantity of ingredients resulting from Organic Agriculture is Needed

COMPANY OVERVIEW

A Family Success Story...

In 1985 Jeanine GABORY - a woman whose passion was flowers and nature - decides to develop her own range of body care and household cleaning products, using natural regional plants.

She launches her own brand and starts its distribution in home parties. Later her children joined the company to help her develop the family business.

Years later, Coslys is launched and her son becomes the Vice President of COSMEBIO, a leading European organic accreditation association. Today he actively works internationally to harmonize the dvarious European standards and accreditations.

The laboratories is compliant with the GMP’s guidelines (Good Manufacturing Practises).

Coslys site is controlled by ECOCERT and audited by AFSSAPS (French Agency for Sanitary Safety of Health
Products)

We are also members of One Voice Association, as none of Coslys raw materials are tested on animals.
Tests and controls Internally, we carry out control tests on the production and the finished products (microbiology, pH…). In the same time, an independant laboratory evaluates the whole product range (Challenge Test, toxicological tests etc…)

The Quality Insurance
Coslys Quality involvment enables us to guarantee Coslys customers the highest level of quality in all Coslys activities.

None of those harmful ingredients are part of Coslys products :

• BHT & BHA preservatives
• Aluminium

Raw materials

Coslys only uses renewable raw materials which are safe to the earth :

* No use of raw materials derived from petroleum
* No use of products derived from animals

Only raw materials made from plants are used. They are GMO-free such as milk, honey, beeswax, materials resulting from biotechnology as well as some minerals.

After the first selection, Coslys checks each selected material to use only the ones that have undergone simple and non polluting transformations and mainly those that result from organic farming.

Manufacturing Process

During the manufacturing process, the laboratory uses simple industrial methods : mixing, emulsion, heating and cooling.
Two main ideas are developed about energy : economy and selective sorting. Necessary energy for both production and company's life comes from gas and electricity.
Waste are submitted to a quality action plan:

    * Recycling of cardboard boxes
    * Selective sorting and recycling of plastic and paper packings
    * Elimination of soiled packing by a specialized company
    * Partnership for water treatment
